Jeremy Allen is an Adelaide-born, Sydney-based designer and a graduate of the NIDA Design course. Prior to NIDA, Jeremy completed a degree in Architectural Studies at the University of South Australia and it is here he developed a passion for design. Since a very young age, Jeremy has been involved in theatre in Adelaide, including work presented in the Adelaide Fringe Festival from 2008 – 2011 and with Urban Myth Theatre of Youth.

Jeremy's most recent work includes the design of the set and costumes for The Readers (dir. Elizabeth Nabben) at Belvoir St Theatre, the set and costume design for the new Australian work Flight Paths, (dir. Anthea Williams) at the National Theatre of Parramatta and Savages by Patricia Cornelius (dir. Tim Roseman) with the Darlinghurst Theatre Company. Jeremy has also designed for 4:48 Psychosis (dir. Anthony Skuse), Proof (dir, Derek Walker) at the New Theatre, Antigone (dir. Alastair Clark), The Tempest (dir. Jim Sharman), Reagan Kelly (dir. Benjamin Schostakowski), Love & Honour & Pity & Pride & Compassion & Sacrifice (dir. Priscilla Jackman), West Side Story, Grand Hotel, UNEND (dir. Jessica Arthur); he has also designed an installation for the 2017 Vivid Festival. Jeremy has also assisted Michael Hankin on the designs for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf at the Ensemble Theatre and Hir at Belvoir.
